McCormick Place Convention Center is looking for a Technology Sales and Services Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is an innovative and experienced sales manager, capable of managing the sales of technology and technical services to support events and conventions hosted at McCormick Place. The Technology Sales and Services Manager will work closely with the senior management team to develop and execute sales strategies to achieve goals and manage a team of sales professionals to achieve their targets. This role will also collaborate with McCormick Place’s Operations team to ensure technical services delivered meet or exceed clients’ expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive technology service revenue for McCormick Place.
  • Serve as a primary point-of-contact for clients for technology and technical service requests to support events and conventions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key technology suppliers and vendors to ensure McCormick Place is providing quality and up-to-date technology support to clients.
  • Collaborate with senior management to identify and target new revenue opportunities, including strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising opportunities.
  • Provide sales guidance and mentoring to the technology sales team to ensure they achieve their sales targets.
  • Monitor and analyze the competitive landscape to identify opportunities and threats to the business.
  • Ensure technical services teams provide high-quality services and support that meet or exceed clients' expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field (Technology, Business, Sales, Marketing or related field).
  • A minimum of five years' experience working in sales, technology sales or event services at a senior level.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience leading high-performance teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays as required.
